The season of love is upon us, and what better way is there to show your love than with a handmade card! I originally made this card to celebrate my cotton wedding anniversary, I feel like the cotton anniversary was really made for crafters like me! However you could use this cute crocheted pear and heart applique designs for any number of projects! They would look super cute as embellishments on a tote bag or you could add a little heart to one of your amigurumis for an extra special touch.
For this pattern I used Paintbox Yarn Cotton DK in shades Pillar Red (415) and Spearmint Green (426) I also used a tiny bit of brown DK for the stem which I pulled out of my stash. You can use any DK for this project but I would recommend using a cotton yarn as I have as it gives a much cleaner finish. I get my Paintbox Yarn from LoveCrafts, click <here> [paid link] to go directly to the Paintbox Cotton DK.
You will need:
Cotton DK Yarn – Red
Cotton DK Yarn – Green
DK Yarn – Brown
3.5mm Crochet Hook
Yarn Needle
Scissors
Adhesive to stick your designs to the card – I used a hot glue gun
Folded pieces of card

Position your pears and heart on the front of the folded piece of card and when you’re happy with the position stick them in place; for this I used my hot glue gun but you can use any suitable adhesive.
Now add the perfect love pun “We are a perfect pear” and you’re all done!
